Beezus and Ramona
Beezus and Ramona is a 1955 children's novel written by Beverly Cleary. It is the first of Cleary's books that focus on Ramona Quimby and her sister Beatrice (Beezus). Beezus and Ramona is told from Beezus' point of view. It was written by Beverly Cleary and illustrated originally by Louis Darling (later editions were illustrated by Alan Tiegreen and then by Tracy Dockray).
Plot summary
Beezus is a girl who has very hard trouble with her sister, Ramona. She goes to pay and do everything for her that she feels like a slave. Beezus is a fourth grade girl and Ramona is four. She invites her whole class of preschool to invite them over to her house without even telling her family. She draws on a library book, disturbs her checker game with Henry, Beezus's game, locks Henry's dog in the bathroom, and interrupts her art class. Ramona barges into Beezus' life in many ways, but they still love each other.
Film adaptation
A movie adaptation of the novel starring Joey King as Ramona [1] the movie was released on July 23, 2010.[1] Although the film jumps from book to book, the plot mainly focuses on the seventh book in the series, Ramona Forever.'Bold text
